Rebecca Cordes & Plus One Jazz Group
Plus One Jazz Group plays an eclectic mix of jazz that paints a broad stroke – from soulful standards to our own jazz interpretations of pop, rock, classical, Broadway and R&B. Based in Dallas, TX, this quartet has been tapping toes and grooving souls since 2010. Plus One revels in performing music for casual listeners who are often surprised to discover that they enjoy jazz. From small clubs to concert halls, festivals to private events, the band puts together a show to remember for any occasion, budget or venue.
Pianist Rebecca Cordes leads the band and arranges their charts. As a classically trained pianist, jazz musician, composer/arranger, and music director, Rebecca’s breadth of expertise keeps the band tight and centers their sound. In addition to leading her band, Rebecca serves as the Artistic Director for both the Jazz and Cabaret concert series at The Sammons Center for the Arts.
